INVENTORY / AVAILABILITY

Check availability against the requirement, not a generic stock list.

A quote-ready request lets the supplier check available stock, reservation status, production route, quantity and lead time against the date and conditions of your enquiry.

01 / STOCK CHECK INPUTS

Give enough detail for a meaningful availability check.

Inventory, reserved stock, production slots and lead times change. Confirm availability against the technical and commercial scope of the current enquiry.

MATERIAL

Grade and standard

State the grade, governing standard, condition and permitted equivalent designation where applicable.

FORM

Product form

Identify coil, strip, sheet, plate, bar, rod, pipe, tube, fitting or another required form.

DIMENSIONS

Size and finish

Include thickness, width, length or diameter, tolerance, edge, surface finish and protection needs.

QUANTITY

Volume and split

Provide total quantity, package or coil constraints, and any planned split deliveries.

TIMING

Destination and date

Name the receiving location, delivery term and target delivery date or required window.

02 / AVAILABILITY ROUTE

Stock and production are reviewed in sequence.

Build an RFQ  →
01 / STOCK

Check current inventory

Existing stock is compared with grade, form, size, finish, quantity and any reservation status relevant to the enquiry.

02 / PRODUCTION

Check an alternative route

If stock is not suitable, the production route, minimum order, schedule, processing and inspection needs can be reviewed.

03 / OFFER

Confirm the quoted scope

Before an order is placed, confirm quantity, availability date, certificate scope, packing, delivery term and offer validity.

03 / AVAILABILITY BRIEF

Make the stock question quote-ready.

A short request with the correct technical details is more useful than a broad question about availability. It lets the supplier check the right material and communicate any constraints clearly.

Build an availability-aware RFQ  →
  • 01Grade, standard, product form, supply condition and required finish.
  • 02Exact dimensions, tolerance, edge, length, coil or package condition where relevant.
  • 03Quantity, destination, required delivery date, split delivery and packing requirements.
  • 04Certificate, inspection, processing or documentation requirements that affect the route.

04 / BEFORE ORDER RELEASE

Confirm the details that turn availability into a deliverable order.

Technical match

Verify grade, standard, form, dimensions, tolerance, condition and finish match the final purchase specification.

Evidence and packing

Confirm certificate scope, inspection evidence, marking, protection and packing requirements are included in the offer.

Commercial handover

Reconcile quantity, availability date, delivery term, destination, payment and offer validity before the order is committed.
