01 / SPECIFICATION

Grade, form and dimensional questions.

Build an RFQ  →
Send the grade and governing standard, product form, dimensions and tolerance, finish or condition, quantity, destination, application and any required inspection or certificate documents. Mark unknown fields so they can be reviewed rather than assumed.
Any alternative must be assessed against the applicable standard, product form, service conditions, fabrication route and purchaser acceptance requirement. Do not treat a similar designation as automatically interchangeable.
Size, tolerance, edge, surface finish, coil or bundle condition and protective film can affect available material, processing route, yield, inspection, packing and lead time. Include them where they are relevant to the final use.
Cutting, slitting, forming, machining, welding or other processing must be reviewed against grade, size, tolerance, tooling, quantity and acceptance requirements for the specific order.

02 / SUPPLY & DELIVERY

Availability, lead-time and delivery questions.

Availability and commercial delivery cannot be confirmed from a generic product name. The supplier needs the exact material requirement and destination to check the current route.

Availability is checked against current stock, reservations, grade, form, size, finish, quantity and any documentation or packing constraints. If stock is not suitable, a production route may need to be reviewed.
Lead time depends on stock or production route, processing, inspection, document requirements, packing, destination and agreed delivery terms. Confirm the required delivery window in the RFQ.
Yes, state the requested split, package condition, lifting or unloading restrictions, destination and storage conditions. These requirements need to be reviewed with material availability and the planned transport route.
Reconcile the final material, quantity, availability date, price, minimum order, certificate scope, packing, destination, delivery term and offer validity before committing the order.

03 / DOCUMENTS & INSPECTION

Certificate and acceptance questions.

Build an RFQ  →
Depending on the order, buyers may request a mill test certificate, inspection report, agreed test results, packing list, marking record, photographs or other specified evidence. State the required document type, fields and acceptance basis before purchase.
An MTC supports the review, but final acceptance follows the governing specification, order terms and any required inspection plan. The certificate must also be reconciled to the delivered material and its identity records.
State dimensions, tests, witness or hold points, documentation, marking, traceability and acceptance criteria in the RFQ or purchase specification before the route is released.
